Cover Letter for Accountants
Cover letters are being used widely for a number of purposes like; job acceptance, job acknowledgement, salary negotiation, resignation, thanking the employer, reference to suggestion, recommendation, to follow up a telephone call, and many more of this kind.
A follow-up to a telephone call cover letter is written, generally, after the employer or recruiter contacts you and calls you for an interview or gives you necessary details regarding the job profile, or job opportunities. As the given rule for all types of cover letter, this type of cover letter also needs to follow the similar rules regarding language and structure.
If your resume is shortlisted for the given post, then the recruiter or employer calls you for an interview. He/she may probably give you a brief account of what the job profile actually is. You may also be briefed up about the interview session, which you will be attending shortly. For this consideration you have to thank the caller. So you can make use of a cover letter for this purpose. Such a letter can also be written to a personnel who has given you information about job opportunities. You can further apply in that company from which the caller is or you can just merely thank him/her for the help extended.
Given below are two samples of cover letters for either of the option, which can come to your aid in such a situation.

Dear Mr. Crews,
It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter to you. The talk that I had with you yesterday was indeed fruitful and beneficial in solving many of my queries and doubts that had occupied my mind since a long time. I would like to thank you for the consideration that you showed in going through my resume. I was a bit unclear about what my objectives and goals should be, but talking to you was really helpful. You solved my doubts to a great extent and helped me in framing my goals and objectives, keeping in mind the demands of the post.
I have updated my resume accordingly and I am attaching a copy of it along with this letter. It would be an honor for me if I get a chance to work in your organization. The time that you have scheduled for the interview is perfectly alright with me, and I assure to be there in time.
Looking forward to see you soon.
Thanking you,
